Who is Rodrigo Alves and what's his background?

Rodrigo Alves, 34, is known as the “Human Ken Doll” thanks to his love of cosmetic surgery and he has spent more than £508,000 on
 various procedures.
However, despite becoming know as this, he is now keen to move away from the moniker so closely attached to his persona and urges his army of followers to address him as "Roddy Doll" instead.

Rodrigo currently lives in London but also divides his time between his properties in both LA and Marbella.
The Brazilian is known for his style and fashion choices and has even featured om GQ and Vogue thanks to his unique dressing.
Over the years, he has reinvented himself via plastic surgery and claimed in an interview on This Morning that he was born in the wrong body.
So far, the surgery addict has had 60 plastic surgeries and over 103 cosmetic procedures - earning him his original nickname,  "The Human Ken Doll".

 

Currently, Rodrigo is said to be filming his very own reality TV show in the UK and was featured on Botched!

What is Rodrigo Alves' aim?

Rodrigo says that, when it comes to making media appearances, his aim is to educate people about plastic surgeries and various aesthetic procedures.
He also hopes to "break the taboo" that surrounds cosmetic enhancements - in doing so he hopes to help shed light on the pros and cons of going under the knife.
He recently opened up The Sun Online about his years of surgical procedures and how he wished people would respect his “courage and bravery” for them.
So far, Rodrigo has appeared on 56 TV shows across the world, as well as various conferences, to share his message.

Why was the Human Ken Doll held at Dubai airport?

On September 21, 2017, it was reported that Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves was held at Dubai airport for three hours because his face no longer matches his passport photo.
The 34-year-old  ran into trouble when trying to enter the Middle East because he looks so different to the man he once was.
The plastic surgery lover, who is in Dubai for the opening of a newhotel and club called Base, was held for three hours while trying to get to the bottom of his identity.



A source told The Sun Online: "Rodrigo totally understood why he was stopped and thinks the whole thing was dealt with professionally and with respect.

"He's just happy to be allowed in for the opening of a new club where he is a guest of honour."

Is the Human Ken Doll becoming Barbie?

Last year, Rodrigo revealed his plans to get six ribs removed after he vowed to have a sex change.
The plastic surgery addict jetted off to Los Angeles to get them taken out, after admitting on Italian TV he wants to have a sex change to become Barbie.
His plans were to have three removed from either side of his rib cage so he can have a thinner waist.
Although he is getting the rib surgery, he says he would not go through with the sex change until his late 50s.
He has shown off his new 'Barbie' hair do and rock hard abs in pictures taken during a shopping trip in Los Angeles.
But at Christmas in 2017 Rodrigo said he wanted to move away from his famous nickname and instead urged his followers on social media to refer to him as "Roddy Doll" instead.
"I never aimed to look like Ken," he told Sun Online. "But because of my fashion sense and my lifestyle I was given the nickname five years ago - and I have been having fun with it."
